WARRANTY ON SCJ PROFESSIONAL PROLINE MANUAL, TF ULTRA AND CTF ULTRA DISPENSERS

SC Johnson Professional CA, Inc. (“SCJP”), located at 1 Webster Street, Brantford, ON N3T 5R1, Canada, warrants to its end customers that during the Warranty Period the dispenser will be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use or the end customer may be eligible to receive a free replacement dispenser or part(s) to remedy such defect under the terms and conditions described below.

WHAT DOES THIS WARRANTY COVER?

This warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship of any SCJ Professional Proline Manual, TF Ultra or CTF Ultra Dispenser (the “dispenser”) under normal use for the Warranty Period as defined below.

WHO MAY USE THIS WARRANTY?

SCJP extends this warranty only to the end customer who originally purchased the dispenser from an authorized distributor. This warranty does not extend to any distributor or other seller of the dispenser or to any subsequent owner or other transferee of the dispenser from the original end customer.

This warranty is available only for end customers who purchased the dispenser in the United States of America and use the dispenser in a facility located in that country.

WHAT ARE THE CONDITIONS TO THE WARRANTY?

This warranty only applies while the dispensers are installed in the end customer’s facility and the end customer has exclusively used SC Johnson Professional products for those dispensers. See other exclusions below.

To be able to administer the warranty, we require that the end customer register the dispensers purchased with us. Visit warranty.scjp.com to complete the warranty form. A separate warranty form is required for each facility with a different address. Dispensers that are not registered are not eligible for warranty coverage. The warranty does not apply if a dispenser is transferred or installed in a facility other than the one in which it is originally installed and registered.

WHAT DOES THIS WARRANTY NOT COVER?

This warranty does not cover any damage due to: (a) transportation; (b) storage; (c) improper installation; (d) improper use; (e) failure to follow the dispenser instructions or to perform any preventive maintenance; (f) modifications; (g) use of non-SC Johnson Professional products in the dispensers; (h) unauthorized repair; (i) normal wear and tear; (j) external causes such as accidents, abuse, or other actions or events beyond our reasonable control; or (k) wrong battery usage or improper battery replacement. This warranty also does not cover dispensers purchased from unauthorized distributors.

WHAT IS THE PERIOD OF COVERAGE?

This warranty starts on the date of the end customer’s purchase of the dispenser and lasts for the lifetime of that dispenser (the “Warranty Period”). We may change the availability of this warranty, including by discontinuing this warranty or modifying its terms and conditions, at our discretion, but any changes will not be retroactive. This warranty will not apply to any dispensers purchased after the date the warranty is discontinued.

WHAT ARE YOUR REMEDIES UNDER THIS WARRANTY?

With respect to any dispenser that does not meet this warranty during the Warranty Period, we will in our sole discretion repair or replace such dispenser or any applicable parts that are defective.

If you are eligible for warranty coverage, we will determine how to conduct the repair or replacement of the defective dispenser or any applicable parts that are defective. SCJP may require that the end customer remove and return (or dispose of) the dispenser or parts. If we send the replacement dispenser or parts, you may need to perform the repair or replacement. However, in some cases we may need access to your facility for us to perform the repair or replacement.

HOW DO YOU REQUEST A WARRANTY SERVICE?

To obtain warranty service, please visit warranty.scjp.com and submit a warranty claim during the Warranty Period. When you make a request for warranty:

  • You will be required to complete a warranty claim online with details, including with respect to the defect and conditions of use of the dispenser, including pictures.
  • You may be required to allow access to your facility for inspection and understand the problem.
  • You may be required to ship defective dispensers to us for inspection. Dispensers shipped will not be returned to you.

We will determine if you are eligible for warranty coverage. Requests that are incomplete or do not otherwise meet the conditions will not be honored.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

THIS WARRANTY IS IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ANY WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. THE REMEDIES DESCRIBED ABOVE ARE YOUR SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDIES AND OUR ENTIRE LIABILITY FOR ANY BREACH OF THIS WARRANTY. OUR LIABILITY SHALL UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES EXCEED THE ACTUAL AMOUNT PAID BY YOU FOR THE DISPENSER THAT FAILS TO MEET THIS WARRANTY. UNLESS PROHIBITED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WE SHALL NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES BE LIABLE FOR ANY CONSEQUENTIAL, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES OR LOSSES, WHETHER DIRECT OR INDIRECT.

End customers are deemed to have accepted the above warranty and limitation of liability. They cannot be changed verbally or in writing, except in a written agreement signed by SCJP.
