Matt Scammell, Commercial Director said:
“Throughout our facilities, the installation of over 1,500 hand hygiene points has made a huge difference when welcoming fans back to Anfield and into keeping our supporters, staff and community safe."

Helping create a more sustainable world with our foam technology
Our hand hygiene partnership is part of a wider partnership with SC Johnson, the maker of household consumer brands such as Mr Muscle®, Ecover® and Duck®. The partnership is named Goals for Change, and kicks off a series of initiatives to drive improvements in sustainability and provide pathways to greater economic and social mobility for youth across LFC’s communities in the UK, Asia and Latin America, all part of SC Johnson’s ambitions as a family company to work for a better, more sustainable world.
We will do more than help make LFC safer and healthier. We will help create a more sustainable world. Our foam soaps deliver 40% more hand washes compared to the same volume of conventional lotion soaps. This means 36% less soap being used, 30% less plastic waste and 26% less packaging waste. In addition, foam soap technology means that up to 45% less water is used during hand washing.
Matt Scammell, Commercial Director said:
“We’re really pleased with sustainability benefits that the partnership brings as well. It’s important to us that we explore every opportunity to reduce our environmental impact and the use of foam soap is a great example of our drive to reduce plastic waste and water usage.”
Our essential products making hands matter at Liverpool FC
SC Johnson Professional’s essential hygiene products, including hand sanitiser and washroom soaps, have been located at key places throughout the stadium and the club’s training centre: from turnstiles to pitch side, changing rooms to washrooms, classrooms to catering and hospitality areas.

How we installed great hand hygiene infrastructure for Liverpool Football Club
The installation of this infrastructure along with high impact signposting raises awareness of the importance of hand hygiene to fans, staff and visitors. Even before entering the stadium, expectations are set with visible, branded sanitiser stations in fan zones.
