How to Practice Safe Hand Hygiene
May 5 is World Hand Hygiene Day, which is a global call for workers across all industries to slow the spread of germs by handwashing. Proper handwashing includes using soap, water and washing for at least 20 seconds. A 2011 study in the International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health found that washing with soap and water can reduce the presence of bacteria associated with diarrheal disease by up to 23% and slow the spread of harmful bacteria from fecal origin.Find out more

Industrial workers frequently come into contact with a variety of contaminants and dirt, resulting in need of regular daily handwashing. Constant handwashing can lead to dehydrated and cracked skin, early symptoms of a common condition known as dermatitis.
